This charming cafe is a gem for those seeking a delightful culinary experience paired with a warm atmosphere. Just a short stroll from the hustle and bustle, DQ Terrace offers a welcoming environment to savor and unwind.

As you step inside, you are immediately greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the sight of delicious treats like toasted tea cakes and flapjacks, a couple of local favorites. The menu is designed to please every palate, with an array of sandwiches that have garnered positive remarks for their fresh ingredients and satisfying flavors. Whether you choose to indulge in a rich Americano or one of their delectable lunch options, each bite and sip is crafted to leave you pleased.

Feedback from patrons speaks volumes about the cafe’s appeal. David Mannion, a local regular, raves about the fantastic service and the cozy ambiance, especially enjoyed while overlooking the nearby International Tennis courts. This terrace offers a beautiful view, making it a perfect spot not just for a solo coffee but also for gathering with friends for a pleasant chat. Sid Marrero appreciates the friendly staff and the cafe's potential as a comfort zone for reading or leisurely coffee time, even if he noted some room for improvement with the WiFi connection.

One of the standout features of DQ Terrace Bar & Cafe is its outdoor terrace, ideal for soaking in the sun during fine weather, though keep in mind that the unpredictability of British weather means you might want to check the forecast before heading out! Stephen B highlights this element well, sharing how the cafe creates a welcoming feel despite its functional building design. You can always expect a varied ambience, depending on the staff on hand, which adds a touch of spontaneity to each visit. While occasional aspects such as music volume vary, the warm interactions from most staff ensure a pleasant experience overall.

With its friendly atmosphere, consistently good food, and ideal location, DQ Terrace Bar & Cafe is a must-visit spot in Eastbourne. Whether you’re looking for a place to enjoy a leisurely weekend brunch, a casual catch-up with friends, or simply a quiet corner to enjoy your book, you will find all this and more at DQ Terrace. So why not stop by today and see for yourself why this cafe is a beloved local haven?

As a local living around 10 mins walk to the DQ Terrace Bar & Cafe we have been around 6 times in the last 2 months and have toasted tea cake or flapjacks and americano coffees. All reasonably prices, excellent service and a warm atmosphere looking out onto the International Tennis courts. Brilliant!

The place is nice and cozy. The staff is friendly. Good food. The place is ideal to enjoy in company with a pleasant chat, enjoy a coffee and read a book. I recommend it. The two things I found negative were a single toilet and the WiFi connection is slow.

The building is very functional, so they’ve done a really good job to make it feel comfortable. Big terrace outside is great, weather permitting (there is no shelter from the rain despite a walk way above). Staff seem to change every day, but mostly are lovely but some seemed blank faced. It means ambience varies (sometimes music is too loud). Pleasantly surprised by the sandwiches, having read other people’s gripes. Jacket potato was okay (EDIT: I tried another, and it much better). I’ll revise stars upwards if it improves. But to my mind at 4 stars it is still pretty good, especially for the price, but easy room for improvement.
